Paul Ibell is a poet and author. He divides his time between London, the English countryside and the Continent, particularly Belgium and France.

 

His first volume of poetry was Love Bites (Grand Tour Poetry). He is also the author of Theatreland (Bloomsbury), about London’s past and present West End theatre scene, and of Tennessee Williams (Reaktion Books in the UK and University of Chicago Press in the U.S.A.) - a biography of America's greatest playwright, concentrating on the autobiographical element in his plays and poetry. Paul's first novel is The Choice (Ardennes), set in 1951, in London’s Theatreland and in Brussels.

 

Paul’s articles have appeared in a variety of magazines and newspapers, including The Spectator, The New Statesman and The Evening Standard.
